The Fashion Pressures is one key external force. As Chapter 3 mentioned (Palmer, Dunford, & Akin 2009), a number of successful organizational changes will lead to other organizations imitated. Rely on this so-called ‘mimetic isomorphism’; managers usually made their organizational decisions depend on the fashionable ideas.  As Palmer et al (2009) concluded, managers may change their organizations in line with the latest innovation in management practices In order to be seen well. Although some fads may assist organizations, other does not deliver their promise of better organizational performance. For example, while Coca Cola set up its new fruit juice beverage in market, the managers from its competitors will follow Coca Cola’s idea, and began to design their own similar products. Another example is Samsung and Apple innovate the new similar features to meet the demands of customers.

Mandated pressure is basically from government regulation and policy. It is similar to the Formal coercive pressures which outlined by DiMaggio and Powell (1991).Managers have to confront with the requirements from government. These requirements may relate to pollution requirements, tax laws, and racism and so on. In order to satisfy most stakeholders’ benefits, the leaders of organizations have to make the suitable organizational change. In China, the new regulation of controlling the bubble in real estate market in 2012,immediately leads to a number of investment company decide to reduce their investment and restructure their management groups. On the other hand, a number of informal coercive pressures also have significant impact on organizational behaviors. For example, a Milk brand Company empowers Advertising Company to promote its new milk product in central shopping mall.
2.3 Geopolitical Pressures
Geopolitical pressures can be indicated by the some longer-term geographic realignment. Industries usually have their own related industries, such as the Hotels and their furnishing suppliers. Once the local hotels drop into the crisis, it may require the related furnishing companies to change their organizational strategy to cope with the crisis. Geopolitical pressure also related to some historical problems. For example a Hong Kong dessert chain store changed their organizational structure after 1997 (Hong Kong returns to China),the different structures for Hong Kong and mainland of China, giving this dessert company huge profit. It (Palmer, Dunford, & Akin 2009) also outlined that an escalation of mergers and acquisitions leads to the geographical pressures. For example, the Chinese car manufacturers Geely implement the acquisition of Volvo, in order to restructure its product line in oversea market. Globalization also makes the global environmental forces for change more clearly, which mainly located in technical area, financial area, social area and maturation of domestic market.
